Founded in 2020, the West Virginia Pregnancy Center Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to fostering a culture of life in West Virginia. Our coalition serves as a dynamic platform for pregnancy help organizations across the state, enabling them to network, share resources, and support each other in a spirit of care and respect. With a mission to educate, inspire, and empower, we provide essential tools and resources that help these organizations operate with the highest standards of excellence. At our core, we are dedicated to promoting a culture that values, respects, and protects human life from conception to natural death, uniting our communities in this vital cause.
 
In 2023 WVPCC was selected to be the management agency of the West Virginia Mothers & Babies Support Program.

Staff

Jenny  is the Executive Director of the West Virginia Pregnancy Center Coalition.  She has served in pregnancy center outreach for over 30 years.  She served as executive director for pregnancy centers in Amarillo Texas, and Frederick, Maryland.  In 1995, Jenny was appointed as a consultant and trainer for Care Net, a national pregnancy center affiliation organization. In 2002, Jenny became Care Net’s Vice President of Center Advancement and for six years oversaw the development of programs for more than 1,100 pregnancy centers across the United States and Canada.  Jenny has also travelled numerous times to the former Soviet Bloc nation of Belarus where she helped start new pregnancy centers.  In 2012, Jenny and her husband Kurt founded Cross Roads Pregnancy Care Center in Charleston, West Virginia, where Jenny served as Executive Director for 5 years.  Jenny is the loving mother and grandmother of 3 children and 4 grandchildren and recently published a book about her Oklahoma family roots entitled: When the Country Was New.

Kristen is the Program Director of the West Virginia Mothers & Babies Support Program. In addition to homeschooling her three daughters and managing a homestead, blog, and online store of homemade non-toxic products, she has also served the WV Legislature as the Night-Shift Head Proofreader for the past twenty-five years, where she collaborated with legislative staff to ensure the accuracy and clarity of bills, resolutions, and legislative documents. Kristen founded and operated a homeschool co-op that served local families, was a scout leader for American Heritage Girls, has been a middle and high school volleyball coach, and was also a Board member and newsletter publisher for Kanawha Putnam Home Educators. With the recent high school graduation of her youngest child, Kristen is excited to use her energy, passion, and love for others to serve Christ in her new role.

Consultants

With almost 15 years of executive level non-profit leadership, Jeanneane Maxon is an attorney, author, nationally recognized speaker and human rights advocate. She serves as an Associate Scholar for the Charlotte Lozier Institute, and authors a standing column in Christian Counseling Today. From 2012 through 2015, she served as Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Counsel for Americans United for Life. From 2008 through 2011, Jeanneane served as the General Counsel of Care Net. Jeanneane frequently appears in media, including a Christian Broadcast Network feature story on pro-life pregnancy center advocacy airing on “The 700 Club,” ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, The Mike Huckabee Show, and the New York Times among others.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in political science and history from Westminster College, graduating summa cum laude and a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law, graduating cum laude. In 2015, Jeanneane was awarded the Malachi Award from Operation Rescue. In 2016, Jeanneane was named Young Alumna of the Year from Westminster College. In 2022, Jeanneane was awarded the Servant Leader Award by Heartbeat International. She currently resides in Princeton, TX.

Michael has been retained to develop the WVMBSP website, to oversee program IT needs,  and to assist in ongoing marketing efforts. Michael is a skilled professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as a Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer at Live Nation Entertainment. His expertise includes penetration testing, where he focuses on identifying and addressing vulnerabilities. Michael has held various roles in his career, including a Senior Security Analyst at Infor and positions at National Travel Service, Inc., and Blackwell and Co. He is well-versed in Cryptography, Web Application Security, Information Security, and Ethical Hacking. Michael is certified in CompTIA PenTest+, CISSP, Project+, Network+, and Security+. His responsibilities include developing Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) for network segmentation audits and penetration tests, as well as conducting manual network penetration testing and intrusion reporting. He is experienced in Terraform, Metasploit, Kali Linux, and Python programming and continually works on improving security assessment methods. Michael is committed to enhancing the security measures of the organizations he works with, helping them to be better prepared against cyber threats.

Kurt Entsminger, a founding member of the West Virginia Pregnancy Center Coalition and husband to Executive Director Jenny Entsminger, is a distinguished litigation attorney. A top graduate of his law class in 1980, Kurt's career includes serving as an Assistant United States Attorney during the Reagan Administration and handling numerous litigation matters. In 1998, he shifted his focus to become General Counsel for Care Net, the largest pregnancy center affiliation network in the U.S. His tenure as President of Care Net from 2003 to 2008 was marked by significant achievements, including drafting the initial version of the Center Commitment of Care and Competence, which sets the standard for pregnancy centers nationwide. Collaborating with Peggy Hartshorn of Heartbeat International in 2003, he played a pivotal role in launching the Option Line pregnancy helpline, impacting over 5 million individuals. In 2008, Kurt resumed his law practice in Charleston, West Virginia, and in 2012, he co-founded Cross Road Pregnancy Care Center with Jenny, aiding thousands in the Charleston community. Currently, Kurt is a partner at the employment law firm Addair Entsminger PLLC.
